Hello im new so bare with me.I need you guys and the wonderful advice to help me out.please be patient heres what i got goin 89 roller block 302 bored 30 over,hyp pistons, 185 tw heads with 1.7s, trickflow r intake and 19lb injectors for now keeping ho firing order. 7qt front sump pan. radiator will be figured next. getting the shortblock back from the shop and i dont now which timing cover to use? 89 mustang timin cover and aftermarket high vol watr pump OR 97 explorer timing cover and high volume water pump (or stock explorer water pump if its enough) i have both of these new already from aanother project going into 72 mav and i want to use the exact same exces. brackets as 97 explorer serp belt uses for alt p.s. and water pump.np smog or a/c trying to make sure the timing cover i purchase will allow me to use these backets to use explorer serp.
if you use the explorer accessory brackets you need to use the explorer timing cover, water pump and balancer. you will want your rotating assembly balanced with the explorer balancer.
