We went out for dinner, so I missed all the first stuff, did they open up the trunk? it looks like the interior is still full of water.

When I was a kid I spent weekends at my Grandparents farm. To get to the farm the road followed along a bluff, which below was a creek,, sometimes a wild creek. During the 1960's the county placed cars along the bank of the creek to keep the road from washing out. They placed complete cars from the 40's on up. These cars were complete, glass and all. I had a soooooooo much fun messing around these cars and stealing cool pieces on them. The Belvedere reminds me of how some cars looked after only a year or so under water.

Someone should at least attempt to restore that car. Screw what Boyd says. Chip Foose is way cooler than Boyd...

Boyd is a jerk and has the personality of a paper bag...

Chip Foose is one of the nicest guys ever!

and Barry White, from Wrecks to Riches, is right in that paper bag category with Mr. Coddington

The battery was left connected. I thought I saw somewhere that they took the battery out and out it in the trunk.:hmmm:

    Something to add about Boyd
Went to the Street Machine Nationals in Springfield. MO last year and Boyd had stopped by on Friday as he was in Springfield at the Orielly headquarters. Later that day we were up at the Grandstand and asked how was Boyd. The host told us he was a dick just like on TV, but his wife sure looked good!

Really it's sad about the car, I hope someone will restore it, it can't be too bad, I've seen worse canadian winter beaten cars restored. Must be a bit of a let down for everyone, all the excitment, then this. :(

Gonna have to be titled flood car! Shame they did have the tech back then to keep the water out. Shame we don't have the tech now to keep Boyd out!

Hate to say, "I told you so..."

They need to clean it up. You just can't tell much about the actual condition of the car with it that dirty. The rear could be sagging because the entire rear suspension rusted away, or it could be because the car is filled with 1,200 pounds of mud. Impressive that the tires still hold air.
