so with jamie miles recent chevy lights nob mod it made me think would a late 60's ford steering wheel work on our cars. i think that it would be pretty cool to get that 60's vibe in a wheel. has anyone tried putting a steering wheel from the 60's on a mav? i was wonder if so what would work. because i always see mid to late 60's ford tucks and some cars at the junk yard with good steeting wheels and would love a little different look than what i already have.

I do believe that some of them would bolt on, but I believe that starting in 1970 (at least with the Mustangs) is when Ford went to the locking steering wheel design. Installing an earlier wheel would eliminate the locking feature because the design of the wheel is different. Not really a big deal for some.

I say go for it. (y)

my comet came with one of those aftermarket wheels so the locking wheel doesn't work. it is a little too small for manual steering.

Gotcha. Well some of the 50s/60s cars had some HUGE steering wheels, so manual steering should be no problem :D
