i want to use the 68 cougars floor shifter in my mav. is there anything else off the trans i should grab? light was getting low so i couldnt really see what was in there so is this a hard swap or what? any pointers? thanks
haha thatnks yea that thing is really cool, thats why i want it in my car the interior of the cougar looks so awsome. i'd swap the whole dash and gauges if i could
Dude, your killin me... I need the kick panels, seats, the dash trim, the dash pad if it's any good.....crap, where's my list..... how bad is the car that your parting it out??
the dash pad is perfect. so are the kick panels but i think the holes were inlarged for the speakers and the screw holes from mounting them. most of the interior is really nice excepted the water stained carpet and a few stress rips in the seats tomorrow im going to try to take the whole dash out. not quite shure how tho????
The first pic, I was like...no don't touch it it's perfect, the second pic.....OUCH and so on. The dash really isn't that hard to take apart but the chrome trim under the tan vinyl is held on with those 5/8" nuts on plastic studs. Be real careful with those, breaking one will kill the reasale value (ask me how I know, go ahead). So.....how much for the dash pad and panels? Edit: and the seats????
the seats do have rips and the kick panels have been modified for the larger speakers idk, whats fair??
Any close ups of the seats and dash pad? Honestly I don't know what they're worth since the whole Cougar thing is new to me. I'm used to my 66 Mustang coupes and the associated prices for those parts. I know the upholestery for a Cougar is outrageous to the tune of $425 jsut for the front seat covers:16suspect If the guy interested in my Maverick ever stops d*#king around I'll whatever interior you want to get rid of.
i was out there today and didnt bring my camera... also, i was laying under the drivers side floor pan and where the front frame rail connects to the body and torque box area has completly rusted apart. it looks like it was just the fender apron holding the drivers side of the engine bay to the car
Yep. And your lever on the tranny needs to point up instead of down if you're going from a collumn shift to floor shift.
