    Hello all,

I have a '71 Maverick 2 door with a 170 CI 6 cylinder, Auto (C-4 I think), 8" rear axle, 9" drums w/ 4-lug wheels that I have driven for 8 years. Things are needing some fixin' so I've decided to upgrade instead.

I have found a '74 Maverick 4 door with a 302, c4, disc brakes and 5 lug axles/spindles. In my parts interchange book it seems like most of the parts will transfer to the 71. Is this correct?

What is the best year model to use as a parts doner? I want to keep this as simple and inexpensive as possible.

What problems might I run into?

I'm starting from scratch so any advice will be greatly appreciated...
