71-73 mustang fuel sender?

    Yes another fuel sender question,

    Im needing to replace my fuel sender and was looking at the 71-73 mustang sender but not sure what needs to be done to make it work, i searched some threads and the only thing i found was the tube needed to be shortened a bit, is that that the only thing that needs to be done for this unit to work on a 72 comet.

    mine was a plug and play (Mav), don't see why it wouldn't be for a Comet also.
