i have a 1971 mav with drums all the way around, 8in. Shortly i will be doing a 302 injection swap into it and am looking for a commonly found car (ie junkyards, cragslist locally) that will have 9in. rear end and fron axel (disk brakes). what cars will bolt right in?

Look for a Granada,Monarch, or Versailles. The latter comes with a 9 in. with disc brakes.

Late 80's mustang is an 8.8 rear will be 4 lug and to wide. You could get 96 and up explorer 8.8 rear with disc and narrow the long side

the explorer / expedition route is a good way to go in my opinion because you get a pretty beafy rear end its already designed to take beating from that heavy a vehicle and they came with 5.0 already so you can beat on it without breaking it.

infact this is what Im doing with my comet.
I bought a rear end out of a 95 expedition and took it to the shop he said ok $1250 well shorten it down center it throw in new gears a full spool possi and put in some brand new 31 spline axles so all I have to do is bolt it in start terrorizing the streets I mean the track officer lol
