I have a 72 Grabber and the wiper knob has 5 sides (pentagon) and is chrome with a black center and says "wipe" "wash". Does anyone know if that wiper knob was used in any other ford car... i know the mustang was differnt and LTD.. I can't imagine FORD only used that knob for 1 year in ONE car..

    Thanks,
    Chaz.

Is there a part number on the back of that knob?

    D2DZ-17513-A
    D1AZ-17513-C

    Either of those?

Darn, I had hoped it was the other number.
This one looks like Mav/Comet only, late 1971-72. Take that information with a grain of salt. The MPC is not really a recipe for car parts, but rather a 'this will be a suitable replacement'.

Ford will use the same part number over and over until the part was redesigned. Take the brake pedal rubber on a 80's F150...it has a B7 (1957) part number.

If the prefix is D2DZ, thats Maverick. If it was ZZ it would have been Mustang.

i know that. like the 70's mustang and the 70's f series truck all used the same wiper knobs and headlight knobs.. i dont care if the wiper knob was outta a LTD and was a d2az (or what the # is) as long as its identical. I wish i had a crossover book.
