I couldn't find it on the interchange list at the top, and didn't see it in any other posts, so I hope it's OK to ask here:

I was wondering if anyone knows which cars have the same glove box compartment (not the door, but the actually box) as a 74 Comet? I'm not sure that it matters, but it doesn't have AC. I'm hoping to know what cars to look out for when I go to the pick-a-part next week. Or maybe if there is (by some luck) a random company that makes replacement boxes.

I don't have the box, so I can't be sure, but I think the dimensions of the gap I measured were 17"x4.5"x4" .... If anyone could get the actually dimensions it would be VERY appreciated! Thanks!

A 1974-1977 Maverick would have the same glove box. Non AC or course.

Yes...repops are made. They can be found at Auto Krafters or on ebay.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Craig do the non AC ones have more room than the ones with AC? Mine barely has enough room to even fit the manual in there.

Yes....the non-AC boxes are larger. Unfortunately....if you have factory AC...you have to live with the small glove box.
