I have a question about some parts. If I use a bumper, rear valance, bumper brackets and rear quater extions off of a 73 mav on my 74 will I also need to use the trunk lid? If so, would I be able to modify my extentions to work with the 73 mav bumper instead of changing out the trunk lid? Keep in mind that I also want to put on a grabber rear spoiler.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hey, MaverickDad.

The trunk lids are the same for all years, except for the 2 vs 4 door differences.
    You will need:
    the quarter extensions-a bolt swap.
the lower valence-this wil require holes drilled to attach.
the rear bumper and brackets. The '73 rear bumper is
the same as 70-72, but the bracket is unique to '73
only. It makes the bumper sit back a little farther than
70-72 cars. With that there was a body colored pad made
of rubber material that goes under the quarter extensions
and into the end of the bumper. It is a filler piece.
The hardest part of this swap is cutting the holes through
the lower section of the taillight panel and some required
welding to attach the brackets in the trunk. These brackets
can be purchased from Mustang suppliers, same bracket.
Look for these to fit '69-'70 Mustangs, they are $12-15 each.

    Good luck.

Is there any problem on useing the 73 rear bumper parts you told me about from a 73 4-door mav onto a 74 2-door mav?

    Hmmm...

...I doubt that there any differences other than the shape of the trunk and extensions on the four door. The mounting brackets etc. are probably the same.
