90 mph into a tree. Ouch.

What's wrong with the intake? I drove the car a few times, and I was actually pretty impressed with how quick it was.. It has a cam in it and a few other things. The H22's are very good engines, north of 400hp is not much of a problem with a Turbo, and they are reliable.

Well, didn't get the car going yet, so he's going to have to bum a ride in the morning. We can't get the drivers side CV axle back into the transmission for some reason. Going to have to pull the lower control arm and strut rod loose so we can pull it out and see what's going on. Even if we could get it to move under it's own power, it would still be dangerous to drive. For some reason it only turns very shallow to the left, and turns too far to the right. When the wheels are straight, the steering wheel is upside down. Not sure what's up with that yet either. Ran out of daylight, and some friends showed up, so we went and did other things.

Car's a total loss...he needs to just hang it up before it gets him killed the next time.

Sounds like the rack may have gotten damaged during the impact or the front structural frame shifted over. Would not surprise me if the lower control arm is bent as well.
I built a wrecked 1991 Acura Integra back in 1992 and was amazed at how flimsy some of the parts are.

I agree with the others though, total loss.

Geez man, you're no fun... where's your sense of adventure! :rofl2: :biglaugh: I've driven a lot worse though. Like the '93 Sentra I bought last year for the almost new engine and trans in it to drop in our '92. Some kid ran into the back of a semi truck with it. Smashed it clear to the shock tower on the passenger side. Little sledge hammer work, strapped in a new radiator, and drove it 45 miles home, on the interstate. Funny thing was, the car still drove perfectly straight.

Yea, he's looking for another body. We're going to start stripping this car Monday night. Trying to find another body on the cheap that maybe has a bad engine and rough interior or something. The engine, trans and all black interior in this car are almost mint condition.
