Hey y'all! Does anyone have an idea of weather or not this 67-69 mustang steering gear box replacement would fit in our Mav/Comets?
I emailed the company and they said they do not know about maverick fitment, but I think these years should be really similar.
For under one thousand you get a new gear box and 16:1 steering ratio! Also power steering for lazy people like me

Could you just drill a couple of new holes to mount it? weld a plate over the old ones?

    Power Steering Conversion

    Hi Moglie:

Bill Roberts has been planning this one for three years now. We were going to drill holes in the frame and mount a mustang steering unit after we modified a few holes in the frame. He planned to "sleeve" the frame so the bolts wouldn't collapse the frame after first aligning the unit in its proper place.
We're presently converting a 75 Comet to power steering with part number #800114 which has 'JUST' become available and we're making our own PS hoses and getting a bracket from MARCH Pulleys since we have serpentine belts on this engine. We're using the complete kit for a 71 Grabber which includes the hoses and all the hardware.
We'll take pictures and put them up on line for anyone thats interested in the serpentine belt conversion.:) Cometized

    Hi All,
I'm new here and just about to buy my first Maverick. I already have a 68 Mustang Coupe and 69 F250 and I bleed Ford blue, even onto my sons 56 chebbie pick'm up. I must say that at least on Mustangs, those Borgeson power steering boxes are the bomb. I've been looking for a solution to the horrendous "ram" style set up for years, and they seem to have hit right on target. Great reviews and great product support from Borgeson. Just call and ask for a tech and you get real answers. The company has been around for years, so They must be doing something right.
