Alternator....Mine is crapping out.....

    I want to put a newer style(2g or 3g) alt on my 250 six. need diagrams, parts interchange etc.......gimme everything you guys got.

    I used a Summit brand 1-wire alternator that's made from Powermaster. You will need to run a voltmeter to montor the charge. Wiring is very simple.

    sorry, i won't put GM based parts on it. It may not be perfect but, it's all still Ford/Motorcraft. Thanks though, I always liked the 1 wire idea. too bad Fomoco never did it.

    U might want to chk out www.qualitypowerauto.com they have the Ford 3G small case units in 105-130-160amps at reasonable prices; that's where I plan on getting mine. :burnout:

    From who and how long ago? Gud price-new?
    The thumbnail attachment really makes it clear how the conversion wiring goes.
