    Hello all,

I am in the process of finishing up (read: never finishing) my V8 swap and I was wondering since the 1985 version has an internal voltage regulator if I still needed my old voltage regulator and if so, how does one go about wiring the two together?
It is a 3 wire alternator, but I don't know which wire goes to which since I still have my 1971 voltage regulator and alt. wiring still in the bay...

No you do not need it...Hmm...Where is that diagram??? There is a diagram running around here on the forum that shows you how to wire it. I did my Sprint but cant remeber how its wired now...Getting old...

I have the 1971 shop books so I can see which wires come out from the old regulator but I need to know about the new one
