Is there any use for the front disc brakes off of a 71 LTD as far as a Mav or Comet is concerned? This is a power brake setup currently on a 71 Country Squire wagon. TOTAL rust bucket that I bought awhile back and have just pulled up onto the pad to part out and crush what is left. Drive train is first year 400M (260hp gross) with C6, 2.79 open 31 spline 9 inch with A/C and Power steering and brakes. You guessed it, I wanted the 9 inch.

    Thanks!

IF you find out they wont work, and I'm pretty sure they wont, I'd be interested in buying them. I know they will work on my 57 Ranchwagon.

They will work on just about any fullsize ford up to '72.Don't think they''ll work on a Mav

Pull them off and try 'em.
I never would have thought Montego brakes would work on a Mav, but they do.
    So you never know.
If they don't work, it sounds like they fit enough stuff to make a market for the parts.
    Good luck
    Dave
