Are there any internal body components that fit to the 70 Mav shell? I'm looking to semi restore my 70. I need some sheet metal for the front end structure. Or should I just go junkyard hunting. I also need to know if there are any Mustang structure panels that fit like door support/pillars etc. What about bolt kits? Are they available? and where to locate? I have an Autokrafters catalog and I have access to Nat'l Parts Depot parts (just up the road from me).
If you would be more specific about what you need you'd probably get answers. Some structural pieces are being reproduced, some pieces can be replaced with Mustang parts, members here may have good pieces removed from parted cars.
Welcome aboard! Like Barry said, try to be a little more specific on exactly what you are needing. We have a lot of members in Florida so if you need some used parts maybe one of them can help you. What part of Florida are you in? I'm on the Alabama coast.
I see underhood and interior bolt sets on ebay quite a bit. Not sure how good they are? Welcome to the board.
Spacifically I'm looking for structural parts like the left front A pillar support for the door. I've got some cancer on the lower portion of the radiator support too. The lower portion of the left rear quarter is bubbled up with a little rust, but I think I can piece that out, and repair it. I'm not really new to this forum btw, but I haven't posted in more than a year (I think). I also need to locate a fuel tank for my '70 model, but I may end up going fuel cell instead. I understand that heavy mods are needed to replace the tank if none are available. I also plan on dropping in a built 302/C4 combo, and a 9" rear for durability. I'm also going to connect the subframes and add a 6 point cage. I want to upgrade to disc brakes in front, and I've already located a set of Granada spindles. I had a Maverick before this one, and reluctantly sold it when I moved from Largo to Apopka. I live in Apopka just outside Orlando and make frequent trips to Tampa.
