I have the opportunity to purchase a 9" rear end for a 66 - 77 Bronco. It is the ideal length, but it has about 1 3/4 inch offset. The right side axle housing is shorter than the left (driver). How big of a problem is this? Will I need to even up both sides?

I did basically the same thing..except with a '66 9" out of a Mustang...it had a 2 inch offset as opposed to the Mavericks centered rear. My driveshaft was a little to close to the side of the tran tunnel for my liking so I had my axle tubes moved..one inboard one inch and the other outboard the same...just to center it. I never tried to fit my original axles back in..but they might have still worked...i'm not sure though. I bought a new set of Stange Axles. Not sure if this helps you in anyway shape or form....but though I'd let you know what I did

i just acquired one, too. should not be a problem, as long as the axises of both the trans and engine are parallel.
