My 74 Maverick currently has a bench seat and I am looking for a pair of bucket seats to replace it. I found a pair, with tracks, that are supposed to be for a '70 mustang or Cougar. How well will they fit ? Any suggestions ..........thanks
Craig, thanks for the reply. fmc56 tells me that 73 and up Pinto/Bobcat highback seats are the same but he is not sure if the tracks are the same. Just saw thes other seats on ebay and thought they were possibly close to what I need.
The seats may be the same....or close. it is the tracks you need. Pinto/Bobcat seats are also different as well as the tracks they use.
i got some bucket seats and back seat out of a 91 honda accord and the back seat almost fits perfect and the front seats need a little bit of altering to be put in but other than that not to hard and it looks REALY sharp and the seats r pretty comfy 2
I dont think any stock Maverick seat will give you more leg room, LDO buckets will give you more headroom over highback bucket seats cause the tracks sit lower to the floor, this can really be debateable because the LDO buckets the seat pad is a little thicker than the highbacks. But at least the tracks are lower on LDO buckets
