I realize the search option, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for. I don't know what will work and what won't... I'll admit, I've got alot to learn about Mavs/Comets.

Okay so my next question is.... Will any year Comet/Mav seat tracks work for a 72 comet? Or will only specific years fit correctly?

I think I've seen that any year Comet/Maverick buckets should work. And I'm also sure I've seen some people use a certain year Mustang bucket seats.

Now remember, there is a difference between the high back bucket seats vs. the LDO seats so make sure you know which ones you want before buying.

High back buckets seats are the classic looking seats you would find in any older car. The black ones with the stiff looking backside. And of course, they sit higher.

The LDO ones sit a bit lower and are more comfortable according to the people who have em. The LDO ones are the ones I'm shooting for when it comes to upgrading the seats.

The passenger side seat tracks are different on the 75 and later cars with the cat con hump. Any bucket seat could be made to work as long as it's not too wide or sits too tall, but if you want seats that will bolt in to the original holes, you will need the tracks from a 71-74 Maverick or Comet. I've seen Escort buckets used, Mustang buckets, even Mitsubushi buckets used, but they had to be modded in some way. Just depends on your skills level how far you feel comfortable changing them out.....

When I put in buckets.... since it was originally a bench, do I have to drill holes through the floor, or how do I go about the install of buckets?
