Yup that's true. Unless you want to go for looks. Then you might want to face it towards the cab so people can see.

I don't know... On some of these subs they got out now, the back looks better then the front. :) One of my friends has 2 15's in his car and the back metal frame of them are chrome and real nice looking while the front looks pretty boring.

Sub will be pointing into the trunk.

Template is done. I will be bringing it with me to the Round-Up. If you want a copy of it, bring:

    -A piece of paper 44 x 21

    or

    -A piece or cardboard 44 x 21

    or

-Bring an actual piece of particle board 44 x 21 and trace it directly to the board.

When I get back....it will be ready to be mailed out and shared with others.

very true but who wouldnt want to see the sub itself pounding? Ya I used to have 2 15's also with a JL amp...talk about loud. It was pretty ridiculous.

i wouldn't use particle board... i guess for a template thats fine.. but use MDF board... i presume its an enclosure your making, MDF is a better sound dampner.

Is that the stuff that looks like very fine saw dust all glued together? That is what I used.

I did not use OSB (Oriented Strand Board).......great for construction...lousy for an enclosure.

Trying to not stray too far off topic...how bad do these cars rattle with subs? Ive had subs in a few vehicles and i was a lot of work to get rid of all the rattling.

I'm not sure how much they rattle because they are made of metal not plastic and so on. But you probably used dynomat for your car? I know there's a cheaper kind on ebay it might be called fatmat or something. Also I know theres a spray you can use to which is useful for the interior.
