So you are going to cut the towers out, install a rack and pinion front suspension, fit an Ls2 engine so the hood wil close, what kind of transmission are you going to use? Are you going to use a Ford 9"?

i may have to now that i kno the motor wont fit with the towers. using turbo 350, and 8.8 out of an explorer, they come with posi n 3.73 gears.

If you can't afford two cars....then you probably can't afford this swap. This swap will cost you twice as much as putting in a 302...maybe (3) times as much...especially if you have to pay somebody to do it for you.

I stuck with Ford power but I love transplanting engines into places that they shouldn't be :)

Check out my photos - you can see that if you remove your towers and use a front engine plate, anything will fit - A LOT OF WORK THOUGH

Did I mention a lot of GREENBACKS too :D

I wouldn't do it but I don't have a problem with someone else putting an LSx in their Maverick. I've seen several in Mustangs that looked good. A few years ago someone here was putting a V10 Viper motor in their Mav and everyone thought it was cool. With the Chevy, though, most go :naughty:.
Me, I'd like to do the new Ford 5.0 Coyote :bananaman

That is the key. The "I've already got this Chevy motor just laying here" argument usually means they think they can do it cheaper because they already have the motor. It usually ends up costing more. WAY more.

Someone on this board actually did this. If you search around you can find the pics. It was ratio411.

Don't listen to these guys DO IT!! I can't wait to see how it turns out. The LS Motors make great power, and if you run the injection, can make more with just a Plug in tuner. If I were to do it I'd buy a front clip so I could get the wiring and computer.:thumbs2: Hell look how many Ford Street rods have chevy motors. In My Eyes the only thing off limits is putting an Import Motor in one. I would have some colorful words for someone who did that.
