C4 Selector Shaft & Arm position

    Hi, My maverick have 1974 ford c4 with column shifter I need to know in which position the selector arm should be in the park position, pointing up or down...?

    I assume you are asking about the shift lever on the transmission? If that is so, the shift lever should be pointing down. Adjust the linkage with the transmission and gear selector in both the park and low positions.

    I had to go look.

    In park, lever on my column C4 points slightly down(maybe 8:30-ish), I assume in 1st it's close to 6:00. Forgot the key.

    Down and I always adjusted it in neutral. A floor shifter C4 would be pointed up.
