I was just given a 71-73 Comet tonight. It has been sitting in the parking lot of my job site for years, and I found out that it once belonged to a recently deceased supervisor. The family just gave me the keys and title. I don't know much about the car, as it is dark and I didn't get to look at it much. I am wondering what the value of the car actually is (excellent shape! no rust or dents, two door) and what type of following the car has as well as what kind of customizations are available. My initial plan is to replace the engine with a 351 or so and upgrade the suspension, new paint and graphics and try to auction it off for a charity event. Any Ideas out there please let me know!

    Thanks

    Dave

One thing, if you plan on auctioning it off, it would be simpler for a non-car guy if it were a 302 rather than a 351. If someone moderately mechanically inclined baught it, he'd have a much harder time with the 351 than the 302 when it came to plugs, accessories, etc.

I just bought a '69.5 Maverick from 71gold. I don't think he added it to this list. #701 or 704??

I sold one of mine, so I guess that takes the numbers back to 706.
