Food for thought, would it be better or even possible to take out the torque converter and replace it with a hydraulic clutch system by borrowing the bell-housing and other integral hardware from a similar manual transmission setup.
my thought process says that by using a clutch system on the automatic, I would need to press the clutch pedal at stop while running, but otherwise would not change the operation of the automatic and in my theory, the clutch would produce better kinetic energy transfer through the transmission thus producing higher wheel power.
please any thoughts on yea or nay and why, or something i didnt think of. please let me know. many heads are way better than mine :)

In the day before hi-stall coverters this was what was done. It is extremely hard on parts and will be a expensive option to try to duplicate. Buy a good converter and enjoy
