Saw a topic on here a while back with a link to some mustang site that sells a kit. IIRC, the kit was basically to upgrade all the stock maverick suspension items with new ones just so the squeaks and stuff of that kind could go away as well as making the car safe. I tried a search and I found it odd that I couldn't find it since it was recent. Also, I think there was a special on these kits and someone also said that it can be done on a weekend with basic tools and knowledge.
Its not just an upgrade its a complete replacemant to a different sytle setup. But, on another note just a rebuild with quality parts makes them safe and quiet.
Now i think i remember that. You mean with roller perches and things? I was refering to MII stuff sorry...
Yeah pretty much right. The kit pretty much brought new lower and upper arms, coil springs and others things like that. It seemed like a kit for a daily driver or occasional weekend driver. IIRC, I think it was a winter sale going on and I wanted to bookmark that link so I can get it this winter for a next summer upgrade.
You get what you pay for. Stay with name brand parts. Those cheap kits from the Mustang houses are junk that wears out fast. I'm sure they hold up for years on show cars or weekend cruisers, but they can't stand up to real daily driving.
A Company by the Name of PST( Performance Suspension Technologies) makes complete front kits for the Maverick,Mustangs, etc. Web Site: www.p-s-t.com/ford.aspx
That would be comparing apples to oranges. Most of Auto Zone parts are cheap crap and Napa parts are high quality
i hear the 68 stang front suspension can be used on the mavs, and i see some good name brands for there suspension. i take napa over auto zone any day.
I don't know what brand parts the mustang houses uses, but I have been told to try and get as many Moog parts as possible I was told these are quality parts... JMO...
I bought mine (complete front suspension and steering kit from California mustangs. They have several quality kits but the prices are reasonable for the good quality if you want good parts.
I believe Paul mentioned recently he wud not be posting for a while. I think he has medical issues. Maybe someone else has had some experience w/ that company. http://www.mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=87438
