I had a column shifter given to me . I needed a floor shifter column . I didn't need it just wanted it to look factory . Then I knew a guy who was into mustangs . He gave me a partial column and said any parts from it would convert the shift column . Is this true ? Thanks

Should be good if both columns have a key on them. I used parts from an 89 F150 to convert mine.

Should be good to go if all the pieces you need are there.

    I used parts from a 71 - 73 Mustang column, perfect fit.
