Dana 60 or Ford 9"??

    Hi,

    What might be the advantages or disadvantages of using the Ford 9" rear end versus the Dana 60 rear end in a Maverick being built as a street rod.

    9 inch will work fine for just about anything you can throw at it. Dana 60 is way over kill IMO, unless you're building a 4x4 Maverick or something. LOL

    Dana 60 is pia to rebuild, like the 8.8. With a 9" you can set up different center sections and swap them out in about 30 minutes.

    72 sprint v/8 3 grabbers 73 comet and a 77 comet race car
    A 9 inch is all you need and lighter then the 60 when you are ready for the 9 inch
    let me know I make them ,,,
