I wanted something a little different but since everything on my car is factory Ford from one car or another I figured I'd stick with the formula. Was gonna just use Round Chrome Slash tips but decided to go with the unique 1970 Mach 1 Tips ... Here is the original and my Mock-up .. I ordered them but don't have them yet. If I had known I was going this route I should have notched the rear valance but ain't gonna screw it up now! :)

I like the idea of notching the valence, but those exhaust tips look good too.

I bought 72 Corvette tips which are even bigger. Then I cut out the wimpy 2" pipe and welded 2 1/2" pipe. Besides notching the valance, I also boxed it in to give it depth. Turned out pretty good.

Have any pictures of the final product?? The corvette tips do look rather large to install without a notch. The Mach tips are quite a bit thinner .. These also have 2" inlets which is strange since factory Mach 1 exhaust was 2 1/4" ...

Here is a cool notch job ....

right now everything is under wraps cause I had to put it outside for awhile. I will try to get some as soon as I can. I think Doug took some when he was up here last month.
