"disc brake" Brake pad

    i got too dark to get a pic but while i had access to the '68 cougar i grabbed the rubber brake pad off the peddle. the one in the mav was just black rubber but the cougar one had a round silver emblem in the middle that said "DISC BRAKE" and had a chrome trim ring that cliped around the outside of it.

    well sure enough it was the exact same size as the one in the maverick. its not too obvious but might be a nice touch for you guys fixing up the interior of a disc brake maverick/comet

    You can buy brand new reproductions for Mustangs, and they fit,I bought one for my 73. And as far as I know they came on Disc Brake cars, my 74 had one from the factory.
