I purchased a nice front set of granada discs from a guy on craigs list. my questions are that my car is a manual drum set up. can I use the disc brakes with a manual master cylnder or do I need to install a brake booster? also the proportioning valve has a tag that says 1973 torino on it. now the guy who sold me this stuff seemed to know what he was talking about so I don't think he would have sold me something that would'nt work but I figured I would ask. does anyone have a diagram of a prop. valve set up? because the valve looks alot different than the one in the car? also, the only thing I didn't get is the tie rod ends... can I get these from pep boys or an auto parts store? if yes, what year granada should I say it's for? my car is a 1970 mav.

    thanks in advance.

i have a 74 manual disc master cylinder on mine. i am not very fond of power anything(little crazy). Make sure to do a search on how to adjust the pedal though, unless you dont mind the brake pedal being a little high. also make sure you have the disc front proportioning valve as well. it does require some minor bending of the stock lines to mount and one or two brass fittings to adapt

Do u still have your original proportioning valve?

I have a 70' mav with manual brakes. I swapped out the front drums to discs from a 75' mav with power brakes - Bought a master cylinder intended for manual brakes - front disc, rear drum -I just put everything back together and bled the brakes using my original proportioning valve and everything seems normal, I can't drive it yet to test it out but hope to as soon as I finish some other work. I've read posts here of other owners reusing the proportioning valve.Make sure you get the bigger tie rod ends too

Master cylinder might be the same part number. Maverick push rod might be a different length than a Granada, so buy a Maverick part.

I'm pretty sure the tie rod ends are the same for Granada and mavericks 75' - 77'(y)
