Disc Brake Swap Front

    1973 Maverick V-8 / 2005 Mustang /2012 Festiva/ 1978 Pinto/1980 Rallye Pinto.... All Ford Family
    On my 1973 Maverick, If I swap front Brakes to a disc system, and I have Magnum 500 14" Rims on this car, will there be any clearing problems with caliper system? or do I have to go to 15" rims?

    71 grabber red and black; 74 2dr LDO comet
    My 14" mag 500 fit OK. HOWEVER! i did have to grind down the casting lines on the calipers just a little. the main body of the caliper clears but that casting line was rubbing. just used the sander wheel on the dremel to clear it and i dont believe i cut into the metal enough to make them lose their strength. been running them that way for over 9 years with no problems...

    Exactly what I had to do. Works great, about 30min work.
