hey, installed the granada spindles last week. they stop great but they rattle when I go over any bumps. I remember reading about this but can't remember what was needed to resolve it. I replaced upper and lower ball joints and sway bar links while I was at it and this stuff seems to be tight. any info would be great. I know it's the brakes because I applied a little brake when I went over acouple bumps and it seemed to help.

    thanks in advance.

The pads are likely loose on the caliper. Use a hammer on the two small ears on the pads and bend them until they fit snug on the caliper.

    disc brakes

I don't know. when I purchased the spindles they had fresh cut rotors and new pads and hardware installed. they looked perfect but maybe the clips aren't installed or need to be bent out a little. are they easy to find when I pull the wheel?

They are attached to the bottom of the inside brake pad.

    calipers?

hey, I've taken the wheel off and checked for rattle clips and they are there. I noticed that were the two sides of the calipers slide on one another are loose. it's where the caliper has a milled slide that they ride on each other. there is a grey plate on the back lower side of the caliper that has two key holes and thick heavy spring held on by an allen screw. it seems like this would be the adjustment but I can't seem to make the calipers tight so the two sides don't play between them. am I in the ball park?

Download and read the Granada swap instructions. Starting on page 9 it talks about the pads and caliper installation. If the caliper is moving around you may need a new hardware kit which can be ordered through an auto parts store.

Glad you figured it out. Now that you know what it is, maybe buy some new ones? They may flatten out a little. Be sure to use caliper grease on them and the top slide points. Take note not to twist the hoses also. :drive:

And careful bending those rattle clips. They're brittle.
