Ok so I have a 74 Grabber 302, power steering, disc brakes. I put a new motor in it a couple weeks ago and the distributor connector fell apart and I'm going to replace it. A stock one is fine but is there a specific brand I should find. The motor is all stock minus the carb so I don't need a super high performance one but if there is one a little better than stock, that would be ok. I see online where refurbished ones like Cardone has them for between 45 and 65 dollars. I don't know if anyone has experience with these or has advice? Next I have manual disc brakes and I would like to upgrade to power disc brakes. I want to keep the car as stock looking as possible, so can I install a booster, lines and go? If so is there different models other than maverick I can use, and where would be a good place to find one? Thanks for any help. Simon
Thanks Craig. I might try that next fall. That will give me time to round up the parts I need. Not to mention the car has been out of commission since April with a bad motor and I just want to drive it!
Probably all the rebuilt dist sold by the large chains will be from Cardone... Not much to a points or Duraspark dist, should be plenty useable...
