hi there, i'm new to the board but i thought i would put my 2 cents in ....definitly 2 door....I think 4 doors are ugly......totally different looking car - more family oriented, i'll stick to 2 doors for now until the time comes...then maybe ...ack!.... a minivan.....i also prefer the skinny bumpers:) :) :)

well, i own a 2door..and personaly i dont see any need for the four doors..as far as i could tell, the four doors back seat wasn't signifigantly bigger then the two door's...so 2door.and i like the big front bumper, but not big rears..basically what mine has.

    74 four door...

wouldn't mind a 2 door... being 21 i'm more partial to the "sporty" looks :D
2 doors look more... muscular if you ask me... although i think if i can get my 4door done right.. maybe tuck the front end up a bit... a wee bit bigger tire (235/60/15 right now) and a nice stealth black paint job... that would look awesome :D

I don't want to cause a big fuss here on anyone's part, but I would hardly call my 4-door "ugly" by any means (except maybe for the fact that right now I have the fenders and hood removed). I think all Mav's are a thing of beauty :)

well, i love the 2-doors alot, i have a 69.5 maverick in many, many pices at the moment, but out of any 4-door car ever made i think the mavericks have a really nice roof line and i wouldn't hesitate to buy one, i would love to see a 4-door done up really nice with some crager ss's or something like that, i've never seen one that was done nicely..
but don't count 4-doors out, you think 2-doors get looks, i drive a 77 granada, 4-door, 4-speed, 250 w/ no power steering or breaks everyday, and that gets some looks!! (probably most of the time WHY looks) but it get alot of attention..

I am now one Maverick down. I parted out the 77 Maverick and took what was left to the recycler. The ole girl was worth $11 in the end. After a heart lung transplant and a facelift my 77 Comet will be on the road next summer.

I have two 2 doors . . . never had a four door, but I glad to see anybody save the four doors from the scrap yard, although it wouldn't be my first choice unless for a daily driver.

I have had 3 2doors and I wouldn't own a 4door but that is just me. There was a 4door that was pretty cool in Louisville Ky. do you remember it John Ford? I saw it a couple times a few years back at Iriquois Park, it was chopped way down there(probably about a 4" chop) and painted silver with some nice graphics. It was wild.

When I met my wife to be some 16 years ago she had a 75 4 door. Thats when I knew she was the one! I had previously owned a 74 2 door. We went on our honeymoon in a 76 2d I bought while dating. Mavericks are an addiction!
