Well, I honestly have to say that I prefer the ~look~ of the two door.

However, there are advantages to speeding in something that just doesn't look fast. As a general rule, the cops simply don't see you. My cars have ALL been four door, not all Mavs but ALL four door (except for my pickup).

I'm a huge fan of the convenience. Yeah, call it a grocery getter, I use it for that. Hopefully when I'm done it'll be a bitchen grocery getter with a really nice stereo system. :)

Yeah there's more weight but if you want to race it, rip off all the heavy stuff and replace it with "space age materials". It'd mortify anyone with a two door to have their butts kicked by a four door. :D

As for a back seat, why limit yourself to INSIDE the car?

I forsee MA (Mavericks Anonymous) meetings in my future.

    Lates,

    Paul

Although I am strictly a 2-door man, I kinda think it would be cool to use a 4-door Maverick for a drag car. I would shave the rear door handles and put a rear wing and huge tires on the back. And I wouldn't have to feel "guilty" about cutting it up. The longer wheelbase might make it hook-up better on the strip, although I don't know. In any case, I'd really like to see a 4-door with shaved handles on the rear doors...
