Been at Chrysler since 1991. With Fiat now involved the company is finally starting to make sense. Its not just about building x number of junk cars to keep the factorys going. Then having to give them away at a loss on money losing lease programs. ITs about common sense. Thats about the best way I can describe it. We have some direction now and some very impressive ideas and products. First time I have felt positive about Chrysler since............... maybe ever. I'm glad Fiat took over.

On a side note, just got back from the Continental race at Daytona.....First in the Gran Sport class?- A Roush Boss 302 Mustang....And who came in the next 6 places?...BMW M V-8....And what car did Ford benchmark their Boss 302 against when designing it?...If you guessed the BMW M, treat yourself to a fine cigar........Oh, and guess who sponsored today's race?.......Another cigar if you guessed the Bavarian Motor Werkes...How sweet is that

Now imagine BMW not being allowed to race in this series because we want to keep the imports out

Only because they don't even offer them.
They never did sell as many 2 doors as 4 doors. just look at Mavericks, there were a lot more 4 doors sold after they came out. It would just provide another option to buyers IMHO. I prefer 2 doors, don't have any use for 2 extra ones. My only exception would be on a SUV, and they are built to haul anyway.

I see a lot of imported 2 doors running around. I don't know why US automakers have abandoned the market to the imports. Kinda like giving up the market on small pickups [Ranger] and the full size family car [Crown Vic, Lincoln Town Car], and personal sporty luxury car [T Bird, Monte Carlo ]. If somebody wants it, quit making it, and shove some overpriced "Green" junk that only a few tree huggers want that will catch fire if you look at it wrong [Volt]
at us. I guess that's why I buy used anymore.
Off my soapbox now, just burns me up the way things go anymore.

They don't offer two door cars because they don't sell.....period. Number one sellers across the board are 4-door cars. Camry, Taurus, etc.

Car Manufactures make two kinds of cars:

    1. Those that WILL sell (free market system)
    2. Those they HAVE to sell (regulations)
