Ford Fusion steel wheels

    The housing on my 9" is 51.5". As I said before, you can doubt all you want, but my 15 x 10's DO have a 5" backspace. I ordered them this way, measured them when they came out of the box. They're Wheel Vintique's. If you must insist, then come on over and we'll take the wheels off and I'll let you do the measuring. Otherwise cut the crap.

    I didn't even read all the thread.. but I can easily believe it based on the fact that there have been more than a few others around here that have also used wheels with 5" backspacing.

    Even ride height variations between different veihicles can play a role as to what works or not too. Not to mention sidewall designs(profile/sidewall bulge) are NOT the same between all tires of the same exact sizing. There is variance to the point that one manufacturers tire may work where another will not.

    There are differences between individual cars as well as far as the dimensions of the springs and axles. As I said before, to gain more clearance to the springs, you can loosen the U bolts and using a prybar, shove the spring inboard while tightening the bolts. There's enough slop in all the parts to push them in at least a half inch, if not more.
