if you want new ones 100 bucks seems to be the cheapest price out there. obviously 30+ year old used ones will be a little chaeper if you want to hunt

As ridiculous as it sounds for what they physically are, around 100 bucks is about what they go for. I personally have got three sets for $8, and the frame brace and transmission cross member for $8 each also in a local junkyard. I only have one set now, and am keeping them in case I decide to go 302 with my car.

Yeah.....$100 seems to be the market price these days.

The headliner rods and not re-popped. You can place an add in the parts wanted section. I am sure that Craig Selvey has a set. See his post above this and send him an email. As far as the Headliner itself you can get them from Auto Krafters, Maverick Connection or e-bay.

The Mav frame stands would be optimal, however some others fit too.
They may be just as hard to find... don't know.

    I have seen 66-70 Stang/Cougar mounts used.
They do the exact same job and mount the same, they are just 2 piece and a little bulkier. Going this route, you need Mav specific engine side mounts. They are dirt cheap at Advance or AZ though.
Very early SBF mounts work well, they were used on all SBFs up to mid-65.
They are semi-adjustable and you would need frame stands as well as engine side mounts. They take up less room than the Mav stuff, so they are good for header clearance. Some engine swap headers even require the use of these mounts.
Sometimes you can find old frame stands go for a little less on eBay. Just gotta keep an eye out.
Crites has the stands new for about the cheapest I have seen.
Just a heads up, if you are worried about paying too much, don't even consider Mav Connection. AK (Auto Krafters) is a little on the high side too. These are 2nd and 3rd tier middlemen, full on retailers. Many of the parts some retailers rape you on can be found cheaper by going to the source or a 1st tier retailer.

    Welcome to the board!
    Good luck,
    Dave

I just use 66 Mustang motor mounts bolted directly to the frame horns with 1" spacers between them and the block. Been that way for 34 years now.

That may be a good idea!
    Never heard of it.
    You got pics?

Did it locate the engine correctly?
The frame stands are offset slightly.

Yes....I have headliner rods. Email me directly if interested.

I also recommend dealing with The Maverick Connection and Auto Krafters as both have lots of Maverick/Comet parts. Ebay is also a good source for parts.

Are the headliner rods the same for a 2 door and a 4 door?
