Is it tough to put a 302 in a 1971 Maverick?
I know a new rear end has to go in, but...is that the extent of it? I can do a little of the work, but changing the engine out is out of my league.
    Already has a C4.

If you do a search there's a couple threads on here that details what needs done. But yes, a 302 bolts right in with the proper mounts. You'll need a bigger radiator and if you have the small brakes you'll want to upgrade them.

if you have a 200 you will need a least a 250-302 bellhousing.

You need bigger brakes regardless of what size engine.

There's a Tech article on here somewhere on how to do the swap.
