These pulleys are listed for '87-'93 5.0's but I don't see any reason they wouldn't work for the 302 in my Mav to replace the stock pulleys (and thereby solving my problem with the pulleys not lining up with the power steering pump removed). Anyone have any thoughts on this? http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=1429&prmenbr=361
Seems to be right as long as you have a 3 hole crank pulley. I am thinking that late model motors have either 4 hole and old ones are 3 or versa-visa....
The water pump pulley will be smooth because it is reverse rotation. Look for a v-belt setup or a regular rotation serpentine setup (Crown Vic). Turning your stock Maverick pump backwards is a bad idea, but the bolt spacing on the pulley is different so it shouldn't be possible to bolt on... Although some pulleys have slotted holes.
Darn it, I was hoping this was gonna be easy. Thanks Charlie, that gives me a lot to chew on for now. If it ever warms up enough out here I'll have to go trolling for Crown Vic's at the wrecking yard. It hit about -46 here this past week with the wind chill.
