    hey guys,

just about to take my 289 out of the maverick:)
just wondering what you guys thought, about this cam http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-K30052/
i am going to use my stock heads and i figured this would be a good cam because the lift is not that big.

just a couple of questions i believe i do not need to get new push rods or rocking arms. am i right? but do i need to get new springs? to my knowledge i think i should but i dont want to buy any parts that i do not need to have.

    would these be acceptable springs?

If your springs are 40 years old, then by all means get new ones. I would break in the cam woth the old springs, then after a hundred miles, replace the springs with the new ones.
