New guy here. Just picked up a '70 with no headliner except for the bows. Is there suppose to be any foam or a hard board that the liner goes onto or do you just remove the bows and insert into the new liner? A new liner came with the car but nothing else. Thanks

When I replaced mine I painted the top of mine and put Dyna Mat in the top. Make sure to look at the bows and install them in the correct location. remove the windshield and back glass, a lot easier to install head liner and if they have never been replaced you need new rubber gasket for the windshield and back glass. Have you ever installed a head liner before? If not it is a pretty big job. You might want to take it to an upholstery shop and let them do it.
