I am over arguing with you neh-sayers. Two of the members here are seeing results. If you don't have anything helpful related to the matter and direction of the convertation please stop interfearing with the people that have the gumption and intuition to try it. Yea...that was me a few months ago and I was reporting what I had at the time. I have since chaged a few things since then to try and make it better and I have learned a bunch about the system messing around with it. Once you get done persucuting me and saying how much of an idiot I am we can get on with the thread as intended by the author. Go ahead and get it out of your system...I would like to get to something that may help someone and not personaly attack them.
Hello Brad In your post of July 8 2008 that markso125 reposted above you said; "Did this myself a few weekends ago. Received a 11mgp gain on a 08 Ford Focus. Didn't adjust my O2 sensor..." However, in post 79 on this site dated August 28 2008 you said; "I lost 3mpg when I put it on and didn't adjust my O2 sensor..." Can you verify which post is accurate. I too would love to see this gadget work. If they did work I would have one on my car in an instant. I have scoured the internet for valid information that supports the HHO/ Klein's Gas increased fuel economy claims. As of now I can find no meaningful test results available that demonstrates the increases people are claiming are not caused by a change in driving style, wishful thinking, poor mileage calculations ability and outright untrue statements. And I can post just as many people who claim they have received no benefit at all from these devices or actually had worse mileage.
I understand that Tilly. There is alot of crap out there...if you have to buy it you are only getting part of the story...I have seen the plans you have to buy from other people and they seem incomplete. Some talk about the engine mostly and some talk about the HHO generation. As for your question they are both correct. I left out some detail that I didn't think mattered on my post here. The 11mpg gain and no O2 sensor was true with a small generator but onece I started driving it a bit longer I started to loose it which I am assuming my Car was adjusting itself to run richer. I didn't know that at the time I just thought I need more gas. The post I put on here was from my latest addition which is a much larger generator of my design working with the small one which I didn't bother to mess with and left it on since it wasn't doing much now and I lost mpg which startled me. After some research and talking to my dealer's shop they told me that the system could be riching it up if I have too much of something new in teh system somewhere and we kinda all assumed the O2 sensor was to blame. I adjusted them and I started to see an instant gain again. Don't know if it is leaning it (which it probably is) or it is now back to normal fuel levels (which I don't think so by my dealers assessment of my ratios). I hope this clears a few things up. If you have anymore questions please ask and I will try to clarify them in the different things in the other posts. I am going to say thes posts will be around the same time frame when I first installed it. Good explination and videos about not having a bubbler too. I am going to post pictures of my redneck version of it when I get them from my camera. If you don't mind visiting Ohio I will show it too you. If you want my number you can call me if you like and I can explain what I know about it to you...without me getting really pissed and not thinking before I say something. I am NOT tring to sell anything...and NOT tring to harm someones vehicle...there is nothing for me to benifit from it. I just did it and in my mind I have it partialy figured out I just can't convery everyhing accuratly expecally when I get mad. I know I am not calculating it bad (I let my car do that) and I haven't changed how I drive because I use cruise going to and from work.
Last thing I forgot. Tilly...have you even tried it? Don't believe the manuals and PDF's they seem worthless to me. I can help you with it and through it. If it doesn't work it doesn't work...it could be a bunch of different reasons why it wouldn't work. I am not out to hurt or misslead anyone...I just want to help who will listen.
Since you have such an evangelistic zeal for this, go for it. This is America. Put your life and money into this idea, develop a fool-proof product, and sell it. If it is as good as you think it is, you could be a gazillionaire and be hailed as the example of the American Dream. By the way, don't forget to turn the lights off when you leave the room.
LOL...if someone that actualy knew me saw that the would have to change there pants because of laughing so hard. I am no where near that...not a nut like some of the people on the net. I understand that this may not and will not work for certian cars. Take my Bosses Corvette as an example. We worked and worked on that thing for days and still couldn't get it to improve milage. It improved the cars "spunk" but not economy. He already had a chip between his o2 sensors and his computer and it still wouldn't work. The computer was just to stuborn to take the signals to lean out and not rich up, but my co-worker's Celeca it worked great on without adding the O2 bypass or lifters. It probably would have given him better if he would have done it, but he would have been running lean.
Got it installed in my Mav. The Pictures can be found here: (first five) http://picasaweb.google.com/americanmadeford/Maverick02
Question - why the second jar with all the hoses from the generators feeding into it? Is that the "bubbler"? I can't watch youtube where I work, so I haven't seen the videos posted. The unit I built is a larger, single jar unit. I was planning on feeding it directly to the intake. Will this be a problem?
Yea...you definitaly need a bubbler of some type. If there is a spark anywhere in the system before it is put into the cylandar it coul possible ignight the Hydrogen and the back pressure could blow the crap out of you generator. Not a big explosion but you you definitaly hear it and you car's miliage will go to crap after that since you will now have a huge vaccum release in your system. Bubba, That bubbler is very intresting to say the least. I have never seen one that comes in from the top and exits the top. Almost seems like it isn't doing much of anything. The hoses from the jars should be going to the bottom of the bubbler then the exit from the top. If it works then that is cool.
Rando7... Pictures!!! LOL Brad - Ive got hoses from the top running to the bottom. Easier than trying to drill through the glass.
So...the "bubbler" jar is nothing more than a container of water? I assumed that the draw through the generators would be enough flow to prevent an explosion.
The One Million Dollar HHO Challenge "Demonstrate a fuel-savings of more than 25% with your HHO system and win a million dollars!"
True... I'll be trying mine on an EFI car. When I get it installed, I'll record some results and post them.
Yea...Tried to get in contact with the person. They gave me some lame excuse about. "You can't have this and you can't have that on the car" and it would take 6 months and stuff of that nature.
