hood help quick

    Guys I can't use the search button to check old posts. Will a 77 maverick hood fit a 71 comet. I think so but I'm not sure an I found a cherry maverick hood for cheap....HELP!!

    NO. the comet hood was a different shape along the front then the maverick hood.

    Thanks...I was wondering about the front overhang...was looking at pics of mine...an it seemed close but I wasn sure an didn have the sizes with me...jus happened to come across on an needed it so I guess I was tryn to will it to fit...lol...

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    The mav hood will fit the comet...All years but, you have to go to a mav grill and latch plate...

    thanks...I knew I could do that....but I don't want it to lose its identy completely....don't see many comets where I'm from an id like to keep the grill...I know their isn't that much diference...but oh well...lol
