the 6901-01's that i have are using a c-4 with the small bellhousing and the 157 tooth flexplate. has anyone used them with the larger bellhousing and the 164 tooth flexplate?

Yay, they were on my front porch this afternoon. Man that was fast. I can't wait. We're putting in the 302 after the western pa meet!

    Hey Robert...

...I think that Dennis means behind a small block.
He probably meant without metal massage and
    surgery as well.

If I give em a whirl I will let you know but judging from the price of them I will probably just build new ones .

C6 behind a small block in a mav/comet is pretty popular around here

I dont know what the difference is, but I dont have to jack up my engine to put my headers on. I`m running a 302(the one in the picture above) and a 157 tooth (small)flexplate with a c-4. I have manual steering and brakes and my 6901-1`s simply slide right up and into place with everything still bolted down . These are the best fitting and easiest to install headers I`ve ever dealt with on ANY car. :D

M.A.V., i have to put mine back on this sunday. i'll try without jacking the engine up but i doubt they will fit. they are pretty easy when i jack the engine up though. got the tranny back in last night. :D

Don, I used to have a set of Blackjack headers (remember them?)
On my car and I had to jack up the engine an inch or two to put them on . Good luck with your installation .

By the way ...I do have to turn my steering wheel a little to get the drivers side 6901-1 on . The pitman arm will be in the way at times. I also always have the car on jackstands (instead of ramps) so the suspension is at full droop, but I`m not sure if that part makes any difference.

    6901 fitment issues.

Am I the only person running 6901 headers with a left turn radius problem?
    If so I wonder why?
The pitman arm runs into the drivers header at about 80% left.
