illumination wire

    Figured it out. New alpine fully installed and functional. The wire I fried was the cig lighter I found out

    Glad you got it sorted! The cigar lighter wire is one heavy duty one! I'd check through your harness and make sure no other wires got burnt. The cigar lighter is hot 24-7, so if it contacts another accessory wire, you will have a constant drain on your battery. :)

    Well the wire doesnt work so still possible?

    the only reason it would not have power at it is the fuse is blown in the fuse block if you replace the fuse it could start another meltdown or possible fire

    Goood to kno. The fuse block under driver side has none blown tho. Is there another block

    no that should be the only block, fuse may be broken at the end. or wire may have burned all the way through were you can not see it
