Yes it is......it was gave to me by Toymav a few years ago it is tore down and one of these days I have dreams of building a chassied car out of it......and most of the "junk" is maverick parts.....I had to bunch up everything in the back of my barn so I could pour the concrete.....all in time....and Dennis the lighting is better than the picture lets on
Rick I have plans of going into buisness for myself some day.....for now it will at least make me mad money I hope.....this project has almost gotten me into the poor house(not far from where I live now) and the lift I've had for 6 months making payments on it while it killed grass under a tarp till the floor was done,in another 18 months that bad boy's mine (paid for). I need to frame in the back wall and run air lines....ect.....now my car can come back home!!!!! It's been at my mom's in her garage since the roundup.
I firgured most of it was back there for a reason. Thats what happens when you don't have enough room or cupboard or shelf space. I'm in that boat.
Hey Nick, Robert from Sterling, Va . What kind of lift is it. I'm in the area every once in a while. Let me know and I'll stop by some time and we can talk Mavericks. I'm still in the middle of my project, 72 Grabber restomod w/ 01 cobra motor and 5spd trans. Should be ready by the end of spring 06.
My friend who has 3 antique cars is getting a lift too, but with his he'll be able to park another car under the one on top. Problem is, his garage ceiling is too low. That's where I come in, I'm going to remove his ceiling and raise it up around 2 feet, just around the greenhouse of the car (not the whole ceiling). He's got engineered trusses, but I'm going to utilize 2x10's and sort of build a second story floor to divert any of the load to the exterior wall and another interior wall. It'll be interesting, he's freaking, but I'm not so worried. Going over there tomorrow to get some measurements so I can put together a material list. Someday I hope I can afford to get one of those lifts for my shed, it would be awesome to work on the cars, as well as extra storage by "stacking" them! Enjoy it! Art
Jamie, The mfgs. have a cool solution for that. The kind he is getting is a four post style with a rectangle type frame that you drive the car onto. They supply one or two (more available for additional charge) plastic trays that sit on the frame in a track so they can be slid from front to back to "catch" any fluids that leak. The trick would be to make sure you have the trays in the correct place "before" parking the second car underneath, lol. Go here, then click on "Options" near the bottom and it shows the plastic drip pans/trays.... http://www.americanautomotiveequipment.com/pages/831661/index.htm Art
