I've seen a few late model cars and trucks with the wiper fluid sprayer built into the wiper arm. Are there any that could fit our cars? I know there are a few ford trucks equipped with them. I was thinking of this due to wanting to seal my cowl and I thought it would look cool to keep the hood and cowl completely smooth without losing the fluid sprayers.
Prowl the salvage. I had some on a ranger when I was in school, can't remember what they were off of. They snapped onto the wiper arm, quick & easy.
You would have to route the sprayer tubing much differently than it is now. Somehow be able to have the rubber tubing follow the wiper arms path from out of the cowl somewhere
Lots of vehicles have "wet arm" washers. Like Frank said, they simply clip onto the wiper arms. The only problem would be that the hose would need to go through the cowl where the wiper transmission goes unless you wanted to put a separate hole in just for the hose. All the ones I've encountered are on vehicles that don't have a cowl, the hood goes to the base of the windsheild.
I think this re-route would work if plastic bulkhead barb fittings were to be used for the rubber tubing, under hood into the cowl and on top of the cowl next to the wiper arm base, so there is no chance of water leaking from the cowl.
All Full size Ford/Mercury Vehicles from 73 up also have the wiper arm mounted washers. But those cars do have the windshield going below the hood line with hidden wipers.
I also have some...hood mounted sprayers... I'm thinking about mounting... under the cowl lip ...on the hood...
Full sized GMC vans, the older style (Vandura) they had the sprayer on the wiper arm...in the winter they would freeze..
