Is there another starter out there???

    1977 Maverick Drag car 399 engine,C4 trans,9"with 4.33 gear ET 10.25 @ 128 mph
    I need to replace my starter on 302 C4 157 tooth flexplate/bellhousing . Is there a small diameter starter availiable for more clearance or from another vehicle? If you have any part# please post them , Thanks

    I put a powermaster mini-starter on mine, luv it luv it!!!\ It turns 13.5/1 compression and locked out timing at the 38* like a madman!!!
    I order it from Sumitt, 302, c4, 157 tooth starter.

    2 71 grabbers,72 Maverick , son has a 73 maverick
    the late model truck / car 5.0 permanent magnet starters fit you just hafta connect the s wire to the main lug on the starter to make the firewall mounted solenoid do the crankin
