A few questions about it.... Can I use it in place of tranny lines and just bend it to my cooler? Can I also use them and fuel lines? Or is there an actual fuel line selection at a local parts store? Also, any input of fuel delivery would be nice. I am building my 5.0 and was thinking electrical pump. Anybody have any input on that route and advice on how to route it
Do you mean the flexible or hard lines? Either is too small and gas/oil would no doubt attack the rubber lines...
If you use the correct size steel tubing and maybe re-flare and change the fittings to fit the connectors. Don't use compression fittings.
I'm going to guess you are looking at the universal pre-flared tubing at a parts store. As long as you use the correct size you'll be fine.
If you are interested.....new, pre-bent brake lines made to fit a Maverick are available from www.RightStuffDetailing.com
Steel is steel no matter what you use it for but I believe rubber "fuel hose" is designed specifically for fuel
I don't think you can get..."brake line"... large enough for fuel/transmission lines...steel line yes...brake lines have their own flare also...
Stay away from brass on steel pipe, it may work but not as intended. Most hydraulic shops witl carry steel compression fittings made for use with steel tube. It may cost more but it will seal properly and hold.
